A commission for the Portuguese Pavilion at Expo’98 led us to assemble an international team of historians, makeup artists, prop masters, animators, cinematographers, and directors to recreate, using CGI, the story of the Portuguese arrival in Japan during the 16th century. This is the behind-the-scenes of a project that blends art, history, and technology.
