At D&D Audiovisuais, we have a long history of producing musical programs that capture the emotion and art of music, bringing quality entertainment to Portuguese viewers. We were the first to produce in Portugal a musical competition like 'Chuva de Estrelas,' which revealed to the public the surprising vocal talent that existed in Portugal.
In 'Uma Noite de Sonho,' we integrated various forms of performing arts to create memorable television shows. In this context, we also highlight our contribution to promoting Lusophone culture through a gala that united the sounds and rhythms of Portuguese-speaking countries, providing a space for celebration and unity.
In the filming, editing, and broadcasting of our musical programs, we are dedicated to capturing not only the performances but also the emotion and energy that music conveys.
We had seen the original format of "SOUNDMIXSHOW" in the Netherlands and the quality of the singers was exceptional. When we started pre-producing our version in 1993, we wondered if there were singers in Portugal as good as the Dutch contestants. On the first day of auditions, we were all nervous... until the first candidate arrived. She chose a Whitney Houston song and as soon as she started singing... all our doubts disappeared. RAIN OF STARS was going to be a success... and it was!
After 'Chuva de Estrelas' and 'Caça ao Tesouro', we worked again with Catarina Furtado on 'Uma Noite de Sonho'. We searched for talents, from magic to classical music, from ballet to fado, and gave them a stage and even an orchestra. 'Uma Noite de Sonho' forced us to make an extraordinary effort in production... all so that our artists could have the night they had always dreamed of, a dream night.
